About 5A05 Aluminium

It is an Al Mg aluminum alloy with the same strength as 5A03 and can not be strengthened by heat treatment; The plasticity is high in annealed state and medium in semi cold hardening. The welding performance is good when using hydrogen atom welding, spot welding, gas welding and argon arc welding; It has high corrosion resistance, poor machinability in annealed state, good machinability in semi cold work hardening, and anodizing treatment is needed in rivet manufacturing.

Characteristics and Application

Al Mn alloy is one of the most widely used aluminum alloys, which has high strength, especially fatigue strength: high plasticity and corrosion resistance, can not be strengthened by heat treatment, good plasticity in semi cold work hardening, low plasticity in cold work hardening, good corrosion resistance, good weldability, poor machinability and polishing. It is mainly used for low load parts that require high plasticity and good weldability and work in liquid or gas medium, such as oil tank, gasoline or lubricating oil conduit, various liquid containers and other low load parts made by deep drawing: wire rod is used for rivets.

 

heat treatment

1) Homogenization annealing: 460 ~ 475 ℃; Heat preservation for 12-14h; Air cooling.

 

2) Rapid annealing: heating 310 ~ 350 ℃; The heat preservation time was 30-120 min; Air or water cooled.

 

3) High temperature annealing: 310-335 ℃; When the thickness of finished product is more than or less than 6 mm, the holding time is 30-180 min or 30-120 min; Air cooling.

 

4) Low temperature annealing: 250-300 ℃ or 150-180 ℃; The holding time is 1-2 h or 2-3 h air cooling.
